FAQ

Quick answers for account access, catalog visibility, and support.

Who can use TerpTrade?

TerpTrade is intended for approved licensed cannabis operators, wholesalers, and retailer buyers.

Can I browse products without approval?

No. Catalog access is private and depends on account, license, market, and wholesaler approval.

How do I request access?

Use the Request Access page with your company name, work email, and account type. A TerpTrade admin reviews the request before any workspace is activated.

Why is my account still pending?

Access can remain pending while TerpTrade reviews your business identity, license status, market eligibility, role, and any wholesaler relationship needed for catalog visibility.

What is the difference between retailer and wholesaler access?

Retailers use TerpTrade to view approved catalogs, save products, create carts, message wholesalers, place orders, and manage buyer-side account settings. Wholesalers manage product-side catalog, inventory, retailer access, order review, payment terms, and workspace settings.

Can a retailer see every wholesaler's catalog?

No. A retailer may be active on TerpTrade but still only see catalogs from wholesalers that have granted that retailer access in the relevant licensed market.

Can wholesalers approve retailer access themselves?

Wholesalers can control access to their own catalog after TerpTrade has approved the retailer for platform eligibility.

Can TerpTrade approve a retailer but a wholesaler still block catalog access?

Yes. Platform approval and wholesaler catalog approval are separate controls.

What happens if a license expires?

License expiration may limit catalog visibility, checkout, product publishing, or account activity until updated license information is reviewed.

Can I upload license documents in the app?

License documents are submitted with Request Access so Admin can review them before account approval. Approved accounts can view license status from Account or Settings and should contact support if a replacement document is needed.

Does TerpTrade verify cannabis licenses automatically?

TerpTrade may help track license status and review workflows, but final license and compliance decisions remain subject to admin review and applicable state rules.

Does TerpTrade replace compliance review?

No. TerpTrade supports controlled workflows, but licensed operators remain responsible for legal and compliance review.

Can TerpTrade handle out-of-state orders?

TerpTrade is designed around state-bounded licensed markets. Cross-state commerce is blocked by default unless a legally approved workflow is separately configured.

Are orders automatically accepted?

No. A submitted cart or order can require wholesaler or admin review for availability, payment terms, license status, market rules, and fulfillment readiness.

Why can checkout be unavailable?

Checkout may be unavailable if catalog access is missing, license review is incomplete, payment terms are not assigned, products are unavailable, or the account is restricted.

Who sets payment terms?

Payment terms are generally configured by the wholesaler for the retailer relationship. Terms may include COD, Net terms, or other approved methods depending on the account setup.

Does TerpTrade process product payments?

TerpTrade tracks marketplace workflows and may support commission or billing flows, but product payment obligations remain between the applicable licensed buyer and seller unless a separate approved payment workflow says otherwise.

What are broker commissions?

Broker commissions are TerpTrade marketplace fees tied to brokered sales or services. The exact rate, trigger, and collection method can depend on the wholesaler agreement, order, market, or service setup.

Can wholesalers import products?

Yes, where enabled. Wholesalers may use TerpTrade-native catalog tools, CSV imports, or approved read-only connectors for catalog and inventory data.

Does TerpTrade write back to LeafLink or other systems?

The current production posture is read-only for connected catalog sources unless a separate writeback workflow has been reviewed, approved, and enabled.

Can retailers contact wholesalers directly?

TerpTrade may route communication through in-app messages and staged relationship controls. Direct contact details may be hidden until the relationship stage or admin approval allows disclosure.

Why are some contact details redacted?

TerpTrade protects marketplace relationships and sensitive compliance data by limiting direct contact, license, address, payment, and fulfillment details to authorized roles and relationship stages.

Can I send campaigns from TerpTrade?

Campaign sending is controlled by TerpTrade admin workflows. Wholesalers may request or support campaign content, but direct campaign sending may remain admin-owned.

How do unsubscribes work?

Marketing or campaign messages should include unsubscribe or preference controls. Important transactional, security, order, compliance, and account messages may still be sent when needed.

Where do I update notifications?

Signed-in users can update notification preferences from their Account or Settings screen.

What notifications can I receive?

Depending on your role, notifications may cover account review, license status, catalog access, orders, messages, payment or commission events, campaigns, and system announcements.

Can I add team members?

Yes, where enabled. Admin, wholesaler, and retailer workspaces can invite team members with role-scoped access to the account.

Can team members have different permissions?

Yes. Team permissions are designed to limit users to the workflows they need, such as buying, inventory, settings, messages, or admin operations.

What should I do if I cannot see expected products?

Check that your retailer account is approved, your license is current, you are in the right market, and the wholesaler has granted catalog access. If those look correct, contact support.

What should I do if order totals or inventory look wrong?

Pause before submitting the order and contact the wholesaler or TerpTrade support. Inventory, pricing, taxes, and fulfillment details should be confirmed before regulated transactions proceed.

Is TerpTrade legal advice?

No. TerpTrade is marketplace and workflow software. You should consult qualified counsel for legal, regulatory, tax, payment, transport, advertising, and compliance questions.

How do I contact support?

Email support@terptrade.com with your company name, account type, market, and a clear description of the issue.
